10 a.m. – noon:
Join for a reading of “Cactus Hotel”. Interact by adding each critter you meet to their home on DCWM’s big wooden cactus. Then head over to the creation station to craft your saguaro cactus felt ornaments, inspired by “Cactus Hotel”. Feel saguaro boots, ribs, and other desert items at the touch table.
1 – 2 p.m.: Winners of the Museum’s annual student cowboy poetry contest present their poems in the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center
