Learn about the art of oil painting with Wickenburg Art Club member Michelle Schuck.
The daughter of a career naval officer, Michele has the fortune of being exposed to works by some of the world’s greatest artists. While her father was stationed in Italy, her family toured many of the most famous art museums in Europe, and her appreciation for the visual arts has stayed with her throughout her life, including subsequent visits to museums and galleries in Europe, Africa, and North America. Schuck graduated with a BA from Hardin-Simmons University and pursued careers in public health, interior design, the oil industry, and real estate. Upon retirement, she took up painting again and studied at the Scottsdale Artists School with Matt Smith and Linda Glover Gooch. She has won awards in local and regional art shows. Her paintings are held by Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ and in private collections in numerous states. She is an associate member of American Women Artists, a founding member of 10 Fine Art and a member of the Wickenburg Art Club.
