A Piece of Enchanted Land: Ceramic Traditions from New Mexico Pottery

A collection of distinctive pottery pieces reflecting the traditions, landscape and geography of the diverse New Mexico Pueblo an cultures of the desert southwest. These peoples have lived on and with the land for at least a millennium. This exhibition in the Museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center showcases their pottery to convey key details about the mineral content, hand-build methodology, and iconic symbolism indigenous to the Puebloan culture.
