“Arizona Mythical Creatures” with Dr. Eduardo Pagán

October 19, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Arizona Mythical Creatures

Are they for real?

In the spring of 1890, the Tombstone Epitaph published a very unusual report. Two ranchers in the Huachuca Mountains shot and killed a “winged monster, resembling a huge alligator with an extremely elongated tail and an immense pair of wings.” Did they kill one of the last surviving pterodactyls? Some aged images can even be found on the internet of armed men standing near a large, winged creature.

The Museum’s Adjunct Curator of History Dr. Eduardo Pagán will take you on an investigative journey through the evidence surrounding “Arizona Mythical Creatures” Wednesday, October 19  at  11 a.m. in the Learning Center. Find out if these creatures really existed. Members always get in free and the event is also free with paid admission.

Wednesday, October 19 | 11 a.m. Cultural Crossroads Learning Center
