Enjoy an afternoon of shopping and authors’ talks in the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center. Join us for a presentation based on the book, Facing West: Voices of Western Women, by local author Sally Harper Bates. It will feature the voices of local women sharing their lives in story, poem, prose and song.
Born and raised in Prescott, Sally’s roots are sunk deep in Yavapai County. And her ancestry rambles through the culture and heritage of the working cowboy, with her dad working ranches in the shade of Camp Wood Mountain for over 50 years and her grandfather cowboying in western New Mexico as a young man. She is a published writer, poet, songwriter and photographer, and has been nominated four times as Female Cowboy Poet of the Year through the Academy of Western Artists.
The Desert Caballeros Western Museum has made safety the utmost priority for all visitors. Masks are required at all times and we ask all visitors to maintain 6′ social distancing requirements.
