DCWM offers great outdoor adventure tours that historically highlight “where it all began” for central Arizona. Pre-registered group participants check in at 8:45 a.m. in front of the Museum, where knowledgeable local guides begin a day of sharing stories, history, and lore connected with each destination. Sign up early – there are a limited number of spots available for each tour.
Learn about the geology and history of Peeples and Skull Valleys, located just north of Congress and Yarnell, from an experienced local guide. Skull Valley was home to George Phippen (1915-1966), celebrated Western artist and co-founder and first president of the Cowboys Artists of America. Attendees will self-drive or carpool between stops, and self-pay for lunch at Nichols West in Congress.
