Take a literary ride with the Most Intrepid Western Author’s Posse as they tour country sharing stories about the American West. The Most Intrepid Western Author’s Posse is comprised of four published, award-winning western authors. The Sheriff of the posse is Chris Enss, author of The Pinks, Thunder Over the Prairie, Wicked Women, and More Tales Behind the Tombstones. Deputy Sherry Monahan has authored Golden Elixir of the West, Tinsel, Tumbleweeds, and Star-Spangled Celebrations, The Cowboy’s Cookbook, Frontier Fare, Mrs. Earp, Tombstone’s Treasure, and Taste of Tombstone. She also writes a monthly food column for True West magazine.
Deputy Monty McCord has authored Mundy’s Law: The Legend of Joe Mundy and Hastings Bank Job,When I Die: The Legend of Joe Mundy, The 1931 Hastings Bank Job & the Bloody Bandit Trail and Calling the Brands: Stock Detectives in the Wild West.
Deputy Bill Markley has authored Deadwood Dead Men and Dakota Epic: Experiences of a Reenactor During the Filming of Dances with Wolves. Bill also co-authored Old West Showdown: Two Authors Wrangle over the Truth about the Mythic Old West.

The posse was formed to spread the word that westerns are more than just “Louis L’Amour” type books. These ain’t your granddad’s westerns!
