In March of 2025, Cowgirl Up! Art from the Other Half of the West, marked 20 years of spotlighting the nation’s best women artists in the Western genre. Building on that legacy, the Dita and John Daub Western Women’s Art Acquisition Fund helps preserve the contributions of early Western women artists, with acquisitions featuring names such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Dorothy Brett, Nampeyo, Pablita Velarde, and Helen Hardin.
