As part of the Blue Star Museums national program, the museum offers free admission to active-duty military personnel, including the National Guard and Reserves, and their families from Saturday, May 18 through Labor Day. This initiative is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America, including the DCWM. This year’s program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2024, and concludes on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024. Please note that the DCWM will be closed on Monday, September 2. An ID is required for free admission.
