Kids’ Winter Workshop

Dec 29, 2025

Children’s Holiday/Winter Workshop, Monday, December 29, from 1–3 p.m. in the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center.

Do you want your kids to get crafty this season? Join us for a special needlepoint workshop just for kids! Participants will start by making a simple stitch sampler to learn basic techniques, then pick a fun pattern and decorate a cozy beanie to take home. It’s a relaxing, hands-on way to practice fine motor skills, creativity, and patience during the holiday break.

All materials will be provided, and young makers are encouraged to bring their imagination and a readiness to try something new. Fine motor skills are recommended; children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. This workshop is especially great for elementary and middle school–aged children who enjoy art, crafts, and trying new skills.

Registration is open December 14–27. The cost is $5 per child to reserve a spot, and space is limited to just 20 participants, so early registration is encouraged. Recommended ages are 7-12 years. Supplies included.

Sign up today by emailing Jessica at jkuemerle@westernmuseum.org.
