The Art of Leather with saddle maker Carson Thomas
🤠✨ Join us on Thursday, March 27, at 11 a.m. for a special lecture: “The Art of Leather” with legendary saddle maker, Carson Thomas (second generation saddle maker, author, artist, auctioneer). Carson is currently residing in Northeast Wyoming and is dedicated to promoting the American West and saddle making throughout the US, Indonesia and Europe. Carson will be covering the evolution, history and construction of saddles of the American West in both full size and 1/2 scale. Some fine examples of his 1/2 scale saddles will be on display during the lecture. He promises that his talk will be “upbeat, informative, fun and educational.”
Takes place in the Museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center. Included with paid museum admission; free for MEMBERS and children 17 and under, unless noted otherwise.
