Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda
Oct 26, 2024 - Nov 3, 2024
Cultural Crossroads Learning Center
(*) Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda opens in the CCLC and runs through Sunday NOV 5.
An ofrenda (Spanish: “offering“) is the offering placed in a home altar during the annual and traditionally Mexican Día de los Muertos celebration. An ofrenda, which may be quite large and elaborate, is usually created by the family members of a person who has died and is intended to welcome the deceased to the altar setting. The Museum has an ofrenda every year to celebrate the lives of those who have been family members and loved ones.
