Joni Falk: A Painter’s Western Vision

December 17, 2022 - March 5, 2023

The Museum is pleased to present the exhibition Joni Falk: A Painter’s Western Vision, from December 17, 2022, through March 5, 2023. A realist painter of Western still-lifes and landscapes, Joni has lived in Phoenix, Arizona since 1960. She grew up in Chicago and is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee.

It was the Southwest with its culture and history which provided the ingredients that compelled Joni to seek a full-time career in art. Many may remember her as a favorite teacher for many years at the Scottsdale Artists’ School. Joni has exhibited at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum’s Cowgirl Up! Art from the Other Half of the West since it began. In 2008, she received the “Museum Purchase Award” and in 2013 she received the “Governor’s Choice Award.”
