Thank you, Arizona … With Love: Patsy Skyline Lowry

Jun 27, 2026 - Feb 28, 2027

Patsy Lowry is a third-generation Phoenician artist known for her vibrant, expressionistic paintings inspired by her desert surroundings. Her work is noted for its spontaneous, multi-chromatic style, which often incorporates neon-colored acrylic abstractions. Lowry’s background in the fashion industry informs her work through a celebratory use of patterning and repetition. Earlier in her career, she sold her tie-dyed fabrics to designers in New York, including the influential Halston.

Unlike some artists who meticulously plan their pieces, Lowry’s approach is described as “strategically spontaneous.” Her art is a celebration of her local Arizona heritage and surroundings. Her paintings often feature landscapes, flowers, and Southwestern motifs, serving as a visual connection to the rich cultural tapestry of Arizona. Her paintings, described often as dream-like, technicolor Arizona landscapes, invite the audience to immerse themselves in the beauty of her home state.Lowry’s art is not confined to gallery spaces. She is deeply committed to enriching the community through her work. This commitment has been recognized, as Lowry was honored as “Artist of the Year” for Paradise Valley and her artwork was shown at the Arizona Capitol Museum.
