Developmental, Learning, or Sensory Disabilities
The Museum is rarely crowded, but the summer months from May – September are usually less busy, quieter times of the year to visit. Visitation will vary depending on holidays, school vacations, weather, and other factors. Generally, the Museum is busier in the morning hours.
Sound levels vary by exhibit. The “Speaking of Wickenburg” exhibition on the Main Museum’s lower level contains sound effects that include animals, trains, and music. Consider bringing noise reducing headphones to reduce sensory input.
Service Animals
Service dogs specially trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome in all Museum buildings. The dog must be trained to provide assistance to a person with a disability. Visitors are not allowed to bring emotional support animals or pets into the Museum.
