Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Geography from the University of Wisconsin. He formerly served as the president and chief executive officer of the Muzéo Museum and Cultural Center in Anaheim, California; the Autry National Center of the American West in Los Angeles, California; and the Milwaukee Public Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is noted for his development of innovative programs, team-building skills, fiscal management, fundraising ability, and for creating strategic alliances with staff, board members, volunteers, and the community.
Since graduating from Duke University in 1972 with a BA in art history, Mary Ann has spent her career as an arts administrator. Her first job was at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., followed by a stint at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as curator of its Bicentennial exhibition. She then moved to Michigan to become curator of exhibitions at Cranbrook Academy of Art before heading west for 13 years at the Denver Art Museum and 12 at the Aspen Art Museum where she was twice Interim Director.
Kathy assists with administrative and development tasks that serve the entire Museum. She serves as a liaison to the Board of Trustees and assists with grants, sponsorships, donors, and committee meetings. She brings years of administrative experience to DCWM. Previously she worked at Princeton University in the HR and Annual Giving departments with the Annual Giving campaigns, alumni events, and Board of Directors meetings.
Teonna is originally from San Diego but moved to Wickenburg while in high school and has made it her home ever since. She has worked as a bookkeeper, accountant, benefits and insurance coordinator and office manager throughout her career. She also spent time working as a banker and insurance salesperson. She studied Business Management at Rio Salado College and Glendale Community College.
Natalie graduated from ASU with a degree in Recreation and Tourism Management. She was employed as a park ranger with the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department, where she focused her efforts on outdoor education and was an integral part of creating the County’s Interpretive Ranger Program. Natalie became Park Supervisor of the Cave Creek Regional Park in 2003, and continued her work in developing educational opportunities within the County Parks System. She came to work at DCWM in 2012.
Before coming to DCWM in 2016, Amanda spent four years at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix where she served in numerous capacities through reorganizations including Volunteer Department Assistant, Guest Services Assistant Manager, Theater House Manager and Curatorial Assistant/Multimedia Archivist. She has extensive experience with events, media, volunteers, communications and project management. Amanda holds a BA in History from U of A and an MA in Public History from ASU.
Nate started as a part-time Visitors Services Associate and now works full time in the administration office handling accounts receivables and assisting with retail management and visitor experience. Immediately before coming to DCWM, Nate worked for three years as a private tutor for public school students in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Prior to that he spent eight years as an Operations Supervisor in the restaurant business.
Originally from Indiana, Hillary has a BA in Business from Indiana University and has spent the majority of her career as an event planner. She moved to Wickenburg in 2010 to work for Rancho de los Caballeros and joined the museum team in 2017. Hillary coordinates the volunteer scheduling and organizes group tours at the museum.
John holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and a Master’s in Library Science. He began as an intern at DCWM, assisting with a remodel of collection storage spaces. He now oversees the collections database and care for the art and history pieces owned by the Museum as well as those that come on loan for exhibitions and Cowgirl Up!
Jean Ann holds a B.A. in History from Arizona State University and is a certified secondary teacher in History and Art. She taught at Wickenburg High School and has been part of Camp Imagination with the Museum for years. Having retired from WHS in 2015, she now works with classes and tours at DCWM and is the liaison for our monthly high school artist exhibition and Student Advisory Committee.
Rita was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Before moving to Arizona two years ago, she lived in Florida for 20 years, where she was a server. Rita enjoys her role at DCWM, where she performs custodial services, assists with dusting and cleaning the exhibits, and prepares refreshments for the Museum’s programs and lectures.
A recent graduate of Wickenburg High School, BreeAnna is currently working on her Bachelors degree in Biochemistry. As a Visitor Services Associate, she provides leadership to the Museum’s volunteer staff while greeting and guiding visitors through the Museum.
Marilu began in business in 1968 working in accounts receivable for Spencer Foods in Spencer, Iowa. From 1973 to 1986 she was a co-owner of Rudy’s Stateline Club in Spirit Lake, Iowa. From 1986 to 2004 she was employed as the Manager for the Americ Inn Hotel and Restaurant while also becoming a member of the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce, the Soroptimist International Organization, board member for the Wickenburg Community Services Corporation and a member of the Wickenburg Ducks in a Row Foundation.
