Leslie Lambert is a watercolor artist whose luminous poured paintings capture the strength, spirit, and stories of the American West. Dividing her time between Southern Idaho and Northeast Washington, Lambert draws inspiration from the rugged beauty of ranch life, the vastness of the landscape, and the quiet resilience of the women who live and work under its wide skies. Using her signature poured watercolor technique—layering transparent color in successive washes—Lambert allows pigment and water to merge freely while guiding their flow with precision and intuition. The result is a glowing fusion of light and form that transforms familiar Western subjects into vibrant expressions of emotion and place. Her paintings honor the traditions of Western art while reimagining them through a contemporary lens, blending realism with abstraction to reveal both the grit and grace of life in the West. Lambert is a Signature Member of Cowgirl Artists of America, Women in Watercolor, and the Northwest Watercolor Society. Her work has been featured in Plein Air Magazine, Western Art & Architecture, Western Art Collector, and The Art of Watercolour, and exhibited in juried shows including Women Artists of the West and Modern Masters of the West. Each painting is a reflection of her deep connection to the Western landscape and lifestyle—where light, labor, and spirit intertwine.
