Arizona

Joni Falk, a realist painter of still lifes and landscapes, has lived in Phoenix, Arizona since 1960. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

It was the Southwest with its culture and history which provided the ingredients that compelled her to seek a full-time career in art. Joni is well known throughout the United States and Canada for her landscapes of American Indian life as well as her still lifes of Indian pottery. The diversity of her subjects ranges from traditional still lifes, Western still lifes, Pueblo or Plains Indian landscapes, and Indian figures.

“When people view my work, I hope the emotions I felt during the creation of the painting will be evident to the viewer and affect him or her with a lasting and positive impression.”
