Stephanie Revennaugh | Montana

Soulful and dynamic are terms that have been used to describe Stephanie Revennaugh’s work. Her sculpture is born from an intimate acquaintance with her subject and executed with delight in form and texture. A lifelong love affair with horses influences her work, but she is charmed by creatures of all manner, most notably Bijou and Chloe, her whippet pups, and Mo, her Thoroughbred eventing horse.

While Revennaugh is known primarily for her sculpture work, she began her artistic career working as a painter. Her 2D works in encaustic, cold wax, and mixed media explore form and texture in an abstract way, connecting with the viewer in an emotive, less literal sense.

The National Sculpture Society awarded Revennaugh the 2017 Marilyn Newmark Memorial Grant for a meritorious body of work in animal sculpture. Stephanie has studied with sculptor Rod Zullo and painters Don Sahli and Kim English. She has taken workshops at the Scottsdale Artist’s School and studied in Aix-en-Provence, France.

Stephanie makes her home in Livingston, Montana. Spending her younger years in Central and South America, however, has given her a desire for adventure and exploration.
