Laurie J. Lee’s interest in art began when she was very young. Having an artistic mother provided her with more opportunities to explore that interest and continue to develop what would become her passion and future career. Her subjects usually involve Western themes that are, in part, obtained by helping with local cattle drives, attending brandings, and generally, just living life out west.

Laurie’s work has been featured in many publications and she has shown her work in several national art shows. Her awards include:

2019- Peter Fillerup Award at Buffalo Bill Art Show; 2016- Honored Artist for Buffalo Bill Art Show; 2013- work chosen for Limited Edition Print at Cheyenne Frontier Days Art Show; 2012- Award for Excellence at Cowgirl Up!; 2010- work chosen for Cheyenne Frontier Days poster; 2008- work chosen for Limited Edition print Cheyenne Frontier Days; 2007- 1st place 2-dimensional work at Cowgirl Up!
